Hi, how did people go about getting their children and themselves tested for pyrrole? It's apparently just a urine test but the doctor won't send for any. He says my son needs to she a peadatritian first and that he doesn't know much about pyrrole. Fair enough but he won't even do anything about me. He said he would work it out after my son is seen and it's all figured out or something. But how does that make sense. How does my son seeing a peadatritian effect me. I also worried how long it's going to take for them to finally do this test. I struggled through schooling and I don't want my son to continue to struggle if it's preventable for much longer. I don't want to put him through all these appointments and assessments. He's already getting any help he needs and is progressing really well. All we both need is this test. If we haven't got it all good It doesn't change anything. I live in Adelaide. Anyone know a doctor who knows their stuff about this disorder and will just get the tests for us. At least me. I mean if I can prove I have it they might order them faster for my son

I think because it's a disorder that's made up by pseudo-scientists like naturopaths etc. The only places that talk about pyrrole disorder are 'wellness sites' and a lot of the info on those sites can not be trusted.
You are better off describing your child's symptoms and your symptoms and then letting the GP organise any tests they think are necessary or not necessary. If you think your son is unwell a paediatrician is definitely the best person to get to the bottom of that.
It's hardly made up. Not sure how it could be. This is a real condition that is treatable. Actual doctors do talk about it. I was explaining while I understand he needs to see a paediatrician why was my issues ignored.
Youll be best to seperate and sort you each out. Son definitely does see a paed and they dont like to test but will collect info on everything then sort it out, but at least then they get there in the end and if it doesnt work youre not back at square one.
See a different doctor for yourself.
What is going on that you think you both need a test for pyrrole?
A bunch of symptoms match. Pretty much all of them some being childhood ones. My bothers the same. My son has some delays in learning which he is catching up heaps so I'm not concerned that he won't do ok but if there is a lack of zinc and b6 going into our bodies I want to know about it so I can fix it. My son sound just like some other children with pyrrole. I've never known any kid like him till now.
What state are you in?
