Hi IM's,
I'm curious as to the opinions on others when it comes to room sharing.
Would you or do you have your children share a room so that you can have a seperate toy room?
If you do room share, do you have any problems?
Room sharing and toy room, or seperate rooms?

I have a 4 bedroom house, 3 children. My two boys share a room and our 4th bedroom is a toy room. Pros to having a toy room is the kids rooms don't get messy/cluttered with toys. Negative to having a toy room is it is mostly messy/untidy. We have had zero issues with the boys sharing a room. I do predict that in a couple of years my oldest will want his own space/room and my middle son won't won't his brother to move out of the room they share.
My spare room is a storage room and the bedrooms are for sleeping not play rooms the older can go in and close the door for quiet time, but playing toys and craft is kept to lounge/dining. Works for us for now.
I only have one kid but I have great memories of sharing rooms when we were younger. In fact all three of us shared a room (bunk beds and a trundle bed) and then we had a room that was a play room. It was only as we got older and stopped being interested in toys that we got separate rooms.
I think you should get feedback from adults who shared rooms. Resoundingly all of my friends who had to share rooms were a bit resentful of their lack of privacy as they got older.
