International custody advice

Needing some advice on who could help with an international custody issue.

Little back ground, child was born in UK, moved over to Oz, were here for about 18 months, then the mother upped and left with child while father was at work (Back to U.K.). Father pays child support, is meant to be able to talk/FaceTime (very irregular on mothers part as to if she answers or not). Father is doing his best to be part of his child's life, but she tries to stop/intervene at every step. Father just wants to be able to see his child (child is now 7), take on holidays etc.) Father is very realistic about it, but mother carries on, always asking for more money, child doesn't have much in the way of rules, discipline etc., manipulates and lies to fathers family members who live over there.

Is there anyone in SEQLD or even via phone from anywhere else, who could offer legal advice, or even where to start to try and get some sort of orders in place. Thanks :)

I recommend ADVANCE FAMILY LAW, they are located on the Gold Coast and the people there are amazing, very helpful, kind and understanding.

How long has she been in the UK now? If less than 12 months, then the Hague Convention applies. Get a lawyer right away and apply to get her sent back to Australia. If it's been more than 12 months, the chances of her getting sent back are pretty small, but you should be able to get visitation rights. I'm not sure how that works abroad though. You might need to go to the UK to sort it out, but you should be able to get visits and holidays with her.
