How do I stop 5am wake ups

How do I stop 5am wake ups

I cannot get my 9 month old to sleep any longer than 5am. She goes to bed between 6:30 & 7pm, sleeps through the night and has no night feeds. 5am wake ups throws the rest of the days routine out.

If she's in bed by 7pm, it's 10 hours to 5am. That's a fair bit of sleep, I'd kill for it. Have you tried putting hr to bed at 8pm to see if she sleeps until 6?

Omg I'd love to get that much sleep!
Maybe try putting her to bed later?
She'd be waking up that early because after 10 hours she'd be starving.

Babies only really need 10 hours of sleep at night and nap during the day. If she's getting 10 hours of unbroken sleep then it's fantastic and she will be able to learn and process things? Who's routine is she throwing out? Yours or your other children? Try putting her to bed later, putting some block out curtains on her window and letting her self soothe and play in the cot on her own until 6am. I'm awake, have been since 5am (she had a nap yesterday) with my 3.5 year old who goes to bed at 8:30, putting them down later doesn't necessarily mean you will get them to sleep later in the morning but it's worth a shot. You maybe just have an early riser, if you think about it, she's probably looking forward to having the one on one time with you at that time of the morning.

Yeah I have an early riser (9), he has always been a great sleeper since he was a Bub but no matter what time he goes to bed, he's up between 6 to 6.30. I don't know why, but putting them to bed later doesn't make them sleep in.

Don't move babies bed time! I have had both my kids sleeping 7pm -7am from 8 wks old. I follow routines in the book save our sleep.
Don't feed your baby when she wakes - make her wait. I would gradually build up to 7am. So first day make her wait till 5:15am then 530am and so forth. Eventually she will get the hint and hopefully sleep longer for you.
My youngest (6months) occasionally wakes at 530am I get up put a dummy in his mouth and he goes back to sleep until about 645am - I don't feed him until 7am!
some ppl this might not work for but just sharing my experience with it both kids have been great until little miss turned 2.5years and this is a whole new ball game- getting her to actually go to bed!
Good luck!

Thats a huge sleep.
Maybe just an early riser. Its pretty light at that time.

I am awake at 5am without fail. Always have been. Drove mum nuts.
It's when I am most productive.

Your very lucky she gets through the whole night with no feeds at that age! That's amazing !!
I would say she's waking hungry too ... though having said that my 5 yo who has NEVER been a good sleeper still wakes at 5am no matter what time he gets to bed . I keep it at 7pmmow as any later and he's just tired from losing that hour sleep . Sometimes as a parent it's just about adjusting yourself and ur routine to suit ... if there's other kids in the house that she's disrupting them try a top up feedinthe early morning she might doze off again !?
