Baby won't drink from bottle

Just looking for a little advice on what may have worked for others who have experienced this.
I have just this week gone back to work part time after having my baby who is now 6 months old. The problem is he will not take expressed milk from a bottle, nor will he drink water from a bottle. I am at work for 9 hours a day so obviously leaving him milk is essential. We have been trying to get him to drink from a bottle for several months but he will have not a bar of it. I've also tried leaving him for several hours with my husband in the hope that if he's hungry enough he will drink it, but he didn't he just became very upset. On my first day back I got a call from his carer to say he had been inconsolable for 3 hours, I had to go collect him and keep him at work with me for the day and did so for the remainder of my working week. He also eats very little solid foods, having just half a yoghurt in the morning and maybe a few spoons of food in the afternoon, so I can not rely on that either. I've spoken to a Dr who says he is fine and healthy and not to worry he will eat when he's ready. I've tried giving him his milk in a sippy cup which again he wouldn't take and I was also advised to try him with a dummy to help him with sucking but he didn't take to that either. I obviously can not continue to have him with work with me as it's just too hard so was wondering if anyone had any helpful advice. Thanks in advance.

Speech therapists can assist with feeding issues like this in babies.

Try different bottles.... when he's on the breast you could try to sneak the bottle into his mouth.... rather than a sippy cup have you tried one with a straw? My child was very picky about cups at that age.
As for the eating solids business food is for fun before age 1 so long as he's getting enough milk food is just about educating for now.

I know this sounds harsh but is it possible to use the cry it out approach? For me I didn't have a choice to stop breast feeding. My milk went dry and I had to swap to bottle. She went crazy! Would cry and cry and cry for hours but eventually was so hungry she had to drink from bottle. Maybe you could try giving him the bottle than if he doesn't want it let him cry for half hr. Then try again, let him cry for 1 hr. etc etc. If it's affecting your work than I don't really see anything that could help asap. Other than trying a few different bottles.
