I feel like my sons father has abandoned him. It's been 7 months without contact. He was interested for the first 5 years and now nothing. I kinda feel annoyed because he put us both through so much stress with visitations and now he doesn't want him anymore. What do I do if he randomly try's to contact again? I don't want him coming in and out of my little boys life,

You make him go through procedures. So you tell him if he wants to see his son he needs to organise mediation. Basically you make him work for it. If he takes you to mediation then you agree to supervised consistent visitation schedule that gradually builds as he shows himself to be reliable and as your son builds confidence with him.
Something like supervised visits at a set time once a fortnight for 2 hours for 2 months. Then systematically extending the time.
Apply to the courts to have it put in court orders so then if he screws it up he doesn't have any comeback.
