How do you working mummy's do it

How do you working mummy's do it?
I have 2 young kids home on school holidays and I have a very casual job, but I get a very small wage for it. I have looked into a babysitter and child care and cause with my job I get little notice for my work days I can't get or afford care. I don't have family that live close so I just can't dump them on them. I do have a couple of friends that help me out but I feel like I'm abusing their friendship.Their dad has them for me on his days off but that is only 2 days a fortnight(he works away). I am looking for more suitable work but there is not much in the area(no I will not move, I tryed this and my children suffered(schooling and emotionally)).

I spose its not really a question but maybe a vent. It's all gotten to me lately and I'm not sure what to do. I'm feeling like I'm failing as a mum. (Even tho my miss 9 keeps reassuring me that she is happy to do whatever I need her to do so I can work and it is ok)

It's so frustrating. It's why I couldn't work casual.

You could try a family daycare provider, some are a lot more flexible with late notice and you are still entitled to rebates

Ask daycare if they will do drop ins. Ours will but i think you have to have at least one set day. Then the rest they will say yes if its available.

My work is casual but luckily for me i have school holidays off but that does mean no pay which is hard. No matter what you do you always seem to feel guilty.
