Woke up last night with the people accross the road fighting real bad - then Man was going off never heard the woman - he through her out of the house with the baby. Later the baby started to cry and it sounded like she went back in the house. I don't know what to do, can't phone the police as they might over hear me, I am a single mom and don't need trouble, but I am fearing for the kids and the woman. If only you could text the police. What should I do I don't want them to get harmed but I don't want to risk my family?

Gather some pamphlets for crisis care and DV support services. Next time he isn't home give them to her and explain it's not right and there are people who will help.
This happened across the road from me. The dad was beating the step son and mother. Everytime we heard them fight we called the cops. One time the mother was rushed to hospital and the father was arrested. After that they moved but atleast the cops knew it was a bad situation
Don't be silly!!! NEVER BE AFRAID TO CALL THE POLICE IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT OTHER PEOPLES WELFARE. Call the police, give them address and tell them you are concerned for the woman & children. There is no need for the police to visit your home.
I have rung before and will continue to ring. If they are screaming and more than two metres away, they can't hear you and I assume you aren't the only neighbour and the cops never tell who reported it.
Yes, you should... enough is enough when it comes to domestic violence! It is never OK and it is everyone's responsibility to speak up. I don't get it... how can they hear from across the street? Call them every time. You don't want her to be the next one on the news. Imagine if she was harmed and you didn't do anything when you had the chance. If you don't know them then they will not know it was you. Please stop the silence babe....
Yes call police each and everytime
No one will ever find out who called
U have to do It for the mother and the defenceless child
I have reported similar many times
It's scary
And how would u feel if something really tradgic happened
I'm sorry all these perfect women on Facebook are abusing you for being scared.
Don't listen to them.
It's perfectly normal to be scared that they'll find out it was you and potentially hurt you.
But, you do not need to fear calling the police. It's all kept anonymous. And your neighbours won't hear you.
Do they hear you talking on the phone/to your kids? Probably not.
Next time they're going at it, call the cops. Exaggerate the situation a little bit so they get there quicker.
