Motivational life change

I need some help, some guidance, I want to change. I need something to give, I feel stuck.
I have a wonderful husband, 3 gorgeous kids and just landed a casual job that I studied for, for a year.
But something isn't sitting right with me. Im angry, almost like my inner energy is drained. Im sick of the daily routine. The kids fighting, the mess, the constant battle with money or lack thereof.
I'm a smoker, I want so badly to quit, but fail every time. My husband did it. Last night he told me that I won't quit because I don't have the drive, and it will take a major medical issue for me to quit. I want to prove him wrong, but he's right, every time I feel like I've got the strength, I fail.
I'm terrified of putting more weight on, I'm already at the biggest I've ever been, and I can't shift it.
I feel drained. Mentally and emotionally drained.
Almost feels like my body needs to shut down and re-start like a computer. Be reprogrammed or something.
Do I see a doctor? Do I see someone else.
I just need some suggestions I guess, on how to re-train my thoughts and make a change.

Your GP can help. What methods of quitting have you tried? Do you go cold turkey? Do you use products? Do you cut down slowly. You need the right method for you. You also need a replacement. When you remove any addiction/habit you need to replace it with a new habit that does the same job. For example if you smoke because it gives you 5 minutes of peace away from the kids, find a new habit that takes you away from the kids. Have a think about why you smoke, aside from the nicotine hit, because you can get the hit from gum etc so the more you understand what you get out of it, the better you will be able to quit.
