Do you like Breastfeeding?

When did you start enjoying Breastfeeding?

Going thru the challenges of the first 6 wks of bf now (low milk, poor attachment, pumping etc) and receiving plenty of support from lactation consultants etc.

They keep telling me it will get easier and faster (takes 1-1.5 hrs to feed) as she gets older, attachment improves and milk settles down.

If you had bf issues, when did you start to enjoy it - how long should I hang in there with hope before accepting this is it. I have a toddler and feeding so long and pumping is not a long term sustainable solution unfortunately.

I find the first 3 months are the hardest. Then around 5 -6 months there will be a tough time too because she will be distracted. It is worth hanging in there though!
Perhaps you could get in touch with your local breast feeding association group. It is a really good way to have time out with both kids where you will get support and meet others in the same situation. 1800 MUM 2 MUM will be able to help.
It will get quicker and easier as she gets older.
Have you got a good sling or baby carrier? I find with my daughter (once she was a bit older) feeding in the sling gave me time to play with my son or take him for a walk.
I also found it good to take my kids for a quick walk to the park where my son could play while I fed.

Good luck x

I personally hated breast feeding! Keep trying but if it doesn't work don't beat yourself up
