My 8yr old daughter is big for her age, and currently wearing size 14-16 kids clothing. I am struggling to buy clothes that actually fit, her current ones just look ridiculous, shorts are too long and baggy etc, unless she is wearing a dress. We have started to focus on extra daily exercise and healthy eating to help her lose some weight, so please no comments on weight loss. She is an active kid, but us starting to feel self conscience in clothes that she doesn't look good in.
Where do other mums buy clothes for their big girls? I am in a small town, so any online suggestions would be preferable.

How will she go with womens sizes in the shorter leg length for pants?
Maybe the basic ladies wear at Kmart? I always find their stuff very short, that may be an option.
Is there someone in your town who does alterations? It may be easier to alter clothing.
3/4 leggings may work if it's not too hot where you are.
Good luck, hopefully you find some stuff to help your beautiful girl feel stylish and confident :-)
I have tried the ladies clothing, and they just don't look right. They end being far too baggy, she certainly doesn't like wearing them
