How to slim belly region?

Last night I had to go to a family dinner at my parents in law with there friends. We haven't seen the friends for about a year.
When we got there the male patted my belly & asked me when I was due. { I'm not pregnant } it was very humiliating to say that I'm not expecting . I weigh 90kgs
My face is slim and my legs arnt to bad but I have large arms & a fat bloated out stomach. Yes i try to do crunches etc but it remains the same. When having my children I had to have cesareans so I think that's also a reason it's harder to lose belly fat, after this extreme embarrassing ordeal i want to slim down my belly. Has anyone got any tips or know of anything from the chemist that slims that area

Fat around the belly area is caused by certain foods in your diet and can be a sign of high insulin levels. Doing crunches will only add muscle (however fat will cover and layer any muscle you have). Sugar and caffiene cause a spike in insulin levels which results in weoght gain specific to that region. Foods high in bad fats also contribute to this. Also everyone is different. I put weight in thigh area only. However for me eating a large carb based meal results in stomach bloating. Overall weight loss, a diet consisting of belly friendly foods (you can google it) will help aswell as continuing with exercises that target zone. Good luck. Btw someone assuming u r pregnant is so rude ):

Ouch :( How rude and inconsiderate. I too had a flabby belly from c-sections and looked pregnant when I wasn't, and I completely agree with the above poster about certain foods causing this bloating/flabbiness. Definitely look at a diet overhaul. Get rid of any soft drink, packaged foods etc and go back to basics. I ended up seeing a nutritionist and it helped a lot. Don't use fad diets that claim to lose so much weight in 30 days, set yourself a reasonable goal, and make sure you at least do 30 mins of exercise per day. I still have a slight amount of flab/loose skin but I can hide it with good underwear, and once I'm done having kids I'll look at getting it removed.

Is it all belly fat? Make sure you are looking after your core muscles. After 4 babies I have a separation of my abs (diastisis?) which gives that mummy tummy effect. Google it for what it is, how to diagnose, exercises that help and exercises to avoid.

After 4 babies I feel like I look pregnant now too! :( take something positive from this person (I'm sure they weren't trying to be rude- maybe) take it as a wake up call and lose weight for yourself and your kids. I've jut started going to a gym, never knew they have crèche! My little boys love it. It's cheap $10 a week no crèche, $18 with crèche as much as you want, up to age 13! I'm trying to do an hour 5 times a week, it is bloody hard but loud music (headphones) helps me. It will take time but I'm giving it a go, if I don't do it now I never will. I've also stopped having All soft drinks including "diet" and cut down on alcohol. Good luck beautiful mumma!! :)
