My cousin, she'd had 5 babies within 5 years at your age, all high risks. I think the Drs highly encouraged her to get it done!
There are excellent long term alternatives now to tube tying though and it's important to know even tube tying isn't 100%. My sister got pregnant after having her tubes tied.
I use two forms of contraceptive as our family obviously have those genes that mean we get pregnant by looking at someone. So tube tying and condoms/hormonal contraceptive for me!
I wish it wasn't 100% I'm going through IVF next year so I can conceive a 4th for me and 1st for my amazing other half. If it's done properly you shouldn't be able to fall pregnant naturally again. I know of one around your age who got it done. Just be certain you never want to have another and maybe see a counsellor. I wish I had of.
I got mine done at 26 after 7 kids and fighting with the doctors after the first 4. Good luck!
My sister had hers done at 27 with 5 kids.
Mirena is effective for 5 years, or copper IUD for 10 years. Worth considering.
Had rings placed on at 24 after 6 kids, twins in there. No issues whats so ever from the doctors. That was in 2001, come 2015 thought I was going through early menopause to find out I was expecting baby number 7. No birth control used through out the years, research and find the best option for you. I know have the marina.
