We are currently looking for a nanny for our children, 4 and 6, in Queensland. We will need this person to collect the kids from school and then have them until around 8pm each night. This means they will need to feed them dinner and get them ready for bed. How much can I expect them to charge for 25hrs a week? What type of questions would you ask when they apply?

Obviously check blue card, references, would they be willing to undergo a police check and working with children check? why do they want to be a nanny to your children, would they consider themselves a patient person? Can they explain further why they consider themselves patient etc etc
I would ask a series of 'how would you deal with this situation' questions, for example, how would you help child 1 and child 2 resolve a conflict
How would you handle a situation where child 2 is refusing to listen etc etc
How would you cope in an emergency situation (add a couple of emergency situations)
What sort of experience do you have dealing with children
I would ask a million questions lol
