Tired all of the time.

Tired all of the time.

I constantly feel exhausted. I don't mean a little bit tired i mean completely, can't keep my eyes open, bed by 8.00pm and even then I am tired when I wake up exhausted. I have two small children and work part time. Even before children I was tired, a lot but now I just feel like I'm running on empty. No history of this in my family, no medical issues, not anaemic. I've had health checks and blood tests but can't seem to shed any light why I'm so darn tired, any suggestions?

Find a doctor that doesnt tedt and then tell you youre fine. They need to wprk with you on a holistic approach. Lifestyle, sleep, eating habits, emotion health (you might be not sleeping well even though you feel as if youre asleep)
It took me a long time to find one. Try a womens health dr, naturopath or maybe some other type of holistic wellness coach.

I totally agree with the above comment. I've been to my gp a handful of times for this exact reason to be told (when blood tests show up fine) that I am just a busy mum with small children. Never once have I been looked at holistically. I'd also ask to get your b12 checked to. This isn't performed in a regular blood test. Good luck. Hope you get some answers.

I had the same problem for years and went to so many different doctors who all told me that nothing was wrong with me, blood tests were fine etc. The only thing they could come up with was that I must be depressed, I'm not. One doctor also diagnosed chronic fatigue syndrome. I was taking the pill at this stage but no mention of that by any doctors, I stopped taking it at one stage for other reasons and within a week I felt normal again and actually had energy to get through the day! Went back on the same pill and was a mess again within two weeks. If you are on the pill it's worth looking into.

I started going down hill again about a year after this and wasn't on any medication so I went back to doctors and they all shrugged their shoulders again and said nothing was wrong. A friend recommended a naturopath and I went regularly for about 6 months and it's not 2 years on and I feel normal, happy, motivated, my skin is better, I exercise, I don't need to nap everyday and I don't spend my weekends in bed. I also haven't been sick in that time, no colds nothing. It's the best thing I've ever done so I highly recommend going to see one if you haven't already.
I do still have down days but they are few and far between.

Do you snore? Have you ever seen a sleep doctor for an assessment? What time do you wake up? Sleep apnea can make you really tired during the day. Because despite sleeping 'well' you are not getting enough air in the night leaving you exhausted. You don't have to be over weight to have sleep apnea

I have Chronic Fatigue (CFS) and this is how I am all the time. I eat very healthy, exercise etc yet I am always exhausted. Speak to your doctor about CFS... also have you had your thyroid checked? that could also cause it. GOod luck

Vitamin d? B12levels ? Sleep apnea ? Stress? If you don't have a good Gp that listens find a new one and tell them you just feel something is wrong . Take notes of other symptoms e.g. Regular headaches ? Aches in body ? Is it worse with your cycle ? (Hormones wreck me at ovulation time and just before my period . I have pcos ) good luck !! Xo
