I have just gained employment after being unemployed ever since having kids ( 8 years. ) the last two years forever getting knocked back positions from not being qualified enough I have finally landed a level 1 position. Training on the job. So I should be stoked yes? I'm not at the moment I'm just feeling stressed, tired and under pressure, I guess because I haven't worked for so long it's all hit me what it's really like when you are working full time plus running a house hold and kids. So wanted to say a big hats off to all the wonderful mothers that have been working mums , I hope I can over come these feelings and just get use to the fact I'm working now. I now understand what it's like for working parents and love my husband that bit more as he's always been the worker and works so hard to support his family.

Hey at the start I think it's the hardest. It gets better/easier over time once everyone learns the new routine.
Make sure everyone pulls there weight. If my son who has a severe intellectual disability can put a load of washing on, unload the dishwasher and pick up after himself your kids and hubby can too.
Set some chores for everyone :)
I also set a cooking rule, I never cook anything that takes longer than 30minutes in a weeknight, unless it's in a slow cooker. I also tend to cook in bulk so we aren't cooking every night.
Kelly here, from The Imperfect Mum team - and I just wanted to write and say I get it!! ha ha!
Started working 5 days a week this year, and wow, my respect for working mums has grown.
I miss my old routine - but I'm also trying to stay positive and see the blessings that this is providing for our family.
Haven't hired a cleaner.... yet.... man - I've wanted to many times! Sick of doing washing in our spare time!! ha ha!
Hang in there - my area manager says it takes about 6 months to find your flow and rut - and I think she was spot on! The kids are helping more with chores, we're giving pocket money out now, bit more flexibility in our budget - getting there! Focus on the positives and remind yourself this is what you've chosen to do.
Big hugs! xKelly
Change is scary. I was nervous putting my kids into daycare. Not sure if it wouldnt work out to be worth it. Now we're settled its a good life. I spend more freely, takeaway dinner on a tired night. Make things as easy on yourself as you can. Two minute noodles for dinner is fine! Get shopping delivered its very worth it. And helps you be prepared with lunches and dinners.
It is very nice 'needing' to buy nice clothes makeup perfume nails because you have to be presentable for work. Slwo lunch. Free time! Theres lots of little perks youll find once you start. Personally i feel much better about myself.
And if it turns out its not what you want, never forget you have options.
