Can anyone please inform me on the IUD insertion procedure?
Do you get knocked out?
Awake?
Pain level?
Helpppp me please!
Gyno clinics, gps have both suggested I try this as NOTHING else has worked for me.

usually they just insert it at the doctors in a procedure room with no anaesthetic. You can ask for local but you can also ask to go to hospital/day surgery centre and be completely knocked out if that's what you want. If you've had a child vaginally it shouldn't hurt much at all. But if your cervix hasn't opened before it can hurt a fucking lot, albeit only for a short period of time.
Ive been in early labor but only got to 3-4cm before being rushed into have an emergency csection.
Because of my medical history Ive been accepted into the hospital to have it. But kinda very much FREAKING out.
No anaesthetic, no pain, just very uncomfortable being inserted!
