Hi everyone,
My child school has requested for her to do a WHISK (IQ) Test.
She has been having issues and the psychologist who she sees (and comes to the school to observe) has said that she is too mature and switched on for the "average" kids in her class. The psychologist thinks that her behaviour is due to her being to grown up. Just wondering if anyone else has neen through this and what changed.
Thanks X

I did an iq test as a child and was subsequently moved up a year. That doesnt happen anymore because we now know thats not the best for the child's overall development and wellbeing and doesnt show long term benefits.
Instead she will probably start a gifted program and get the support to help keep her challenged while also developing social and emotional skills.
