Does anyone else's mother in law criticise EVERYTHING you do even if she herself did the exact same thing raising her kids? I'm really getting over it! She will even criticise me for stupid things like "Oh your kids clothes are so clean, why don't you take them outside to play" but yet she will criticise me when my kids clothes have things like dirt and paint on them...can't win! Just why?? I snapped yesterday because I was sick of it!

I feel your pain!
Though mine criticizes everything i do, from the shoes i buy the kids to the blankets on their beds even!
It gets quite frustrating sometimes especially because mine lives with us..
I used to live with mine...never again!
My mum is not like this though, she doesn't care what I do with the kids. I know a lot of people have it from their mum and mother in law so at least I only have it on one side lol.
Wow- my inlaws would very quickly get told that their input is not wanted, invited nor appreciated if they tried any of this on me! So glad we don't live in the same town and rarely see them because my inlaws are far from wonderful, helpful doting family!

My milr was lovely to my face but would slag me off to anyone who'd listen. She'd make up total lies usually.
My advice - If it's petty, let it go.
If it's spiteful and vindictive let her know she's crossed a line. Do it calmly though, don't give her the satisfaction of making you lose your shit
I was worried I would have this problem too ask we dont always see eye to eye but I have been pleasantly surprised lol
