A little back story. My ex and I split up when my daughter was a mth old and he did a runner moved States tried to make an effort for the first few mths of her life then nothing. No contact since. She's 5 1/2 now very happy loving little girl. Now to get any help back then I had to claim chidsupport much to his disgust fast ford 5 years we set the agreement to private collections and haven't collected anything from him for 4 years.
Ok today I received a letter from child support. Saying that he now has a child in his care under the age of 13 as of 1 August 2016. So could be a possible she has another sibling or he could of met someone with a child. Is this normal for them to release this kind of info to the opposite party? I just found it very strange and I'm concerned they've released info to him that I don't approve.

Yes it is. I knew how many kids my ex had care of. They don't release any identifying information like address and names, workplace.
Mine did say what the taxable income was.
They won't say anything that is irrelevant to calculating the child support payments.
Completely normal.
We have a private arrangement for child support for my sd.
At the end of each tax year we get a letter off child support which shows both parents ( biological only not step partners ) taxable income, and shows the breakdown of income, what percentage of care they each have for sd and how many other dependents ( biological children only ) each of them have as that affects the breakdown on who pays what.
Those basic details are shared but that's it.
They need to share how they calculate the child support even if it's a private arrangement you get the letter to show what you should be getting so you can adjust your private arrangement if you want.
We found that step children do not count towards being actual dependants.
My patterned paid could support for his 2 biological daughters, and m my daughter (his step Daughter) is not counted as a dependant of his. So it shouldn't change the money you are mentioned to receive UNLESS it is his biological child.
