Relocation to Cairns

Hi all
I'm looking at relocating from Wollongong to Cairns after Christmas with my two children aged 10 and 12.
I will more than likely be working shift work and as a single mum I'm wondering if there are places or people who can help with care for my children?
I will either need before school care from 6am or after school til 10pm and occasional overnight care.
Also does anyone have any feedback on St Andrews Catholic School in Redlynch?
