Fasle Negative?//

OK, so i many women ask this..... How many women actually get negative pregnancy tests?? i have looked it up on sites and many women say they get negative test until they are up to 7wks before it show positive. is this realistic? I am 1 day late and did a digital clear blue test and it says not pregnant. i thought they picked it up super early? i know many of you are going to say go to the GP for a blood test, but i don't want to jump the gun and see GP just yet. I am going to wait a week and see what happens, but i was just interested in knowing realistically how many woman get negative tests until a week or two late.
thanks ladies.

Well I did a test before my next period was even due and it showed a positive so I would say it's most likely you aren't pregnant but you really do just have to wait. They say wait until after you are due but many women test before then and find out they are pregnant.

My second pregnancy I didn't get a positive test until I was 7 days late. When I had my dating scan I was supposed to be 7 weeks by my dates but the scan put me at 5 weeks 4 days. My GP said I would likely have ovulated quite late, only a few days before my period, hence why it took so long to show up on a hpt. Good luck xxx

I went into my GP for another Depo shot in June. She did a routine pregnancy test that came back a "blazing negative" as she called it. Turns out I was 4 weeks 2 days pregnant, and wasn't even showing faint lines. Im now almost 11 weeks.

I kept getting negatives with my first Son, but I knew I was pregnant, so I went and had bloods done. I was over 4 weeks.

Everyone is different.

My sister in-law found out when she was 6 weeks pregnant.
She done a clear blue digital test and it was negative, one week later the same thing, then she decided she'd try again on the same day as the digital one but with a cheap brand and it was positive, she's now 20 weeks pregnant. She swears by the cheapo ones now and said she will never use another clear blue digital test again.

I have always had positive tests a couple of days before my period would have been due.
