This isn't a question but I just started night weening 2 weeks ago on my daughters cue and I thought I'd never see te end of breast feeding Iv written in twice about weening and sleeping tips as she always fed to sleep and one night she woke up and wouldn't feed so she cried in bed with me but instead of her histerical crying which always lead us to taking her out of bed and people telling me you just have to be stronger it was more of a wings cry and to my astonishment after about 25 minutes she fell asleep the next night we when she woke for a night feed I figured I would try again 15 minutes later she fell asleep , two weeks on and she is now almost sleeping through the night and only being cuddled or even just say next to to sooth back to sleep! I never thought I'd see the day!!!
My point is it was another lesson on trusting my own intuition! Everyone told me I had to let her cry abit or I can't give in -and don't get me wrong in not necisarly opposed to CIO - but she was histericle when laid down awake from birth. I have at time been used as a dummy and been desperate to finish feeding her because of the night feeds and her waking every hour till we came to bed - BUT now I see light at the end of the tunnel and I'll be happy to keep a morning feed midday feed and one before ed till she is 2 now - just wanted to share my success!!! Haha
