Pregnant with extras!

Pregnant with extras!

My partner and i have just found out we are expecting again. We had our first ultrasound today. Not 1 heart beat... Not 2 heartbeats... but 4! Yes, FOUR HEARTBEATS!!! (9w, 5d)

We are over the moon and completely terrified. My husband called his boss and asked for overtime, which looks like it will be granted (family friendly business, we are lucky). Im a SAHM to our 2 year old son. I have high blood pressure left over from pre-eclampsia and that is what tipped us off that i am pregnant. Ive been told to rest as much as i can. Do nothing that will raise my blood pressure. I have an extremely active son and he does a lot of activities.
How the hell do i rest with him and 4 babies on the way?! We cannot afford to hire help, especially now we will have 5 children to look after. All our friends work full time. Closest family is 1.5hrs away and they all work full time too. We have a dog who needs to be walked daily. Hubby already works 12 hour shifts before any overtime and it changes from day shift to night shift (6 days, 3 days off, 6 nights, 4 days off, repeat).
What do we do?

Start making phonecalls. They might not lead to much/anything but it is sure worth a shot!
Speak to your local council. They offer a range of in home services for sometimes nothing, to people who need care. This is one of those times.

Find out what daycare would cost. Even one day of daycare can make all the difference.

Switch to food shopping online. They bring the food into your kitchen.

Make the call out to friends and family. You'd be surprised who will help. Even little things make all the difference, like someone making a casserole so you don't have to cook.

Also contact your local churches, explain your situation. Even if youve never been to church in your life. I've heard of churches sending volunteers in these situations.

Woah big congratulations! I haven't got any advice sorry but there is a Facebook page called a miracle unfolding gardner quadruplets, the family documented their pregnancy and birth with their babies maybe you can message her and she might have some insight into what to expect.

Can the dog be temporarily relocated for a while? It would at least be one less thing you feel you need to do

Get the word out, in any way you can... eg facebook, any group you are associated with, neighbours etc. You might be surprised by the people that come forward to help out... and you sure need it, both now and when there are babies. Good luck!

What city do you live in? Even on here, you might find people who can help out.

I would definitely look into getting an aupair..

You could set up a Facebook page.. Documenting your journey.. You would be suprised how many would read it.
You could even set up a go fund me account..
You would be bound to get lots of gifts once the babies are born.. ESP from those that follow your page.

Here is one..
