Im 30 weeks pregnant and just saw my midwife today, when I got my ultrasound a few weeks ago the man that did the ultrasound said she was a small baby. The midwife today said she is the 19th percentile... I have no idea what this means and didn't even think to ask. Could anyone shed some light for me? What is the average or normal percentile?

Ok so percentile is where your child is on the charts compared to pretty much everyone elses kids. 50 % is the average size depending on age. I have 3 kids one at 50 % one at 75% and my youngest at 95%. Once your child is born you can have regular checks with your health nurse where they check their weight and height for their age and map it.
First of all, the estimates aren't too accurate. Secondly, anything above 5 percentile is considered normal. What is considered abnormal is if Bub drops significantly in centiles between scans or stops growing. Some babies are just naturally petite :)
