Child Support - What happens?

Hi all,

I have two children to a previous mistake, oops, I mean marriage (hahaha!) I am in a relatively new relationship and I have been wondering what happens in regard to Child Support when the time comes to move in together?

Will his payment rate change? If it does, how so? Does my ex still have to pay maintenance or will my children be seen as my new partner's responsibility? What happens?

I have 100% care as he lives interstate by the way, in case that helps. Thanks Mamas!

As far as I am aware, new partners to both the payer and receiver of child support does not affect the total that needs to be paid.

He will still have to pay child support. It will only change if your income goes above the threshold of your exes income increases/decreases.
