Looking for some tips to be a more organised (working) mum... I've read a bunch of blogs but some real life tips from other mums would be much more useful than the Stepford wife tips available on the net!

To make washing quicker and easier i hang everything on hangers straight out of the washing machine out to the line then once dry they get put in the cupboards it saves pegging out and then getting them off the line and folding.
Take advantage of the delay cycle on the washing machine.
Slow cooker is a dream.
I like to tidy after my kids are in bed, so there's no movement and I can wake up, put on a load of washing and vacuum/mop early so I know all I have to do is come home, cook and spend time with the kids.
I am a working mum of two boy's,I do a load every night and put it on my BIG clothes horse, I only use my line on weekends and wash sheets and the larger item then :) I make my boy's unpack their school bags and put their lunch boxes on the bench with new snack packed for the next day, they fill their drink bottles and put in the fridge, slow cooker are a life saver cut everything up the night before so all you have to do in put it all in the next morning, if you have time do all this when getting tea ready,I am making a big lasagne tonight and we will have that again tomorrow night, not sure of the ages of your children, mine are 7 and 10 and real like to help out..:) The boy's help out a Saturday morning with vacuuming and mopping, they may not do it to your standard but they are learning to help :) Goodluck!!
I make lunch the night before, kids are responsible for packing their own bags and putting on uniforms that have been laid out for them... Kids do home work at the kitchen table so I can supervise and help while I cook dinner and I find eating earlier (6pm) helps me feel more organised ... Breakfast which is not cereal that can be eaten in the car saves time in the mornings too... Muesli bars and fruit or toast
