Signs of behaviour or other problems in a toddler

Hi sisters, im a mum of 2 boys and i have a question regarding signs of problems with my toddler.
He is 16 months old, a very active little one. My thing is that he has extreme signs of aggression and self hurt. If he doesnt what he wants he will throw himself straight forward and slam his head into the floor repeatedly until you stop him. But its not just if he doesnt get what he wants. His sign of affection is hugging you then slapps the heck out of you. He hits constantly and will go out of his way to do things he knows he shouldnt. He attacks his older brother out of know where for no reasons.
He walks around nodding his head and say da ba constantly in a weird way, i know this may be normal just seems different to me.
I have taken him to our gp and he has asked if i want to look into a clinic for the aggression but i just dont know if its reasonable for his age?
Has anyone had this type of toddler and its just been a faze? Or could it be some type of aspergers or similer?

I would ask for a referral to a peaditrician it may be nothing and if so all you've waisted is an hour, if it's not nothing you are ahead of the game as far as services and help.
It's probably going to take a month or so to get an appointment anyway so by then will be around 18months. It's not too young at all.

If you are worried, get a referral to a pediatrician. Some toddlers can be quite physical and full on, and he is only little.
