Hi I am needing some advice I am a single mum with a adhd child , my job has increased my depression and anxiety even more so after I hurt my back , in short I am really not happy . I have tried and tied to find I different job but am unable to find one that can work around the hours I can do , so I have researched a lot the thought a lot about what I good at and can do and what I would enjoy , I have decided to start a at home/online business (again I have researched a lot) but am having difficulty thinking or finding ways to fund it just to get started as I am only rosterd on for one 4 hour shift a week. Are there any imperfect mums out there that have done this or have any advice ??? It would help so much

Hi IM can i just ask, do you mean you only work 1 x 4 hour shift in your current job or in the online business?
I work 1 four hour shift a week at my current job , the business i would
Like to run is not up
And running as I am still working out finer details and trying my very best to work out how to fund it off the ground to get started
Thanks for clarifying that.
Starting any business is hard, it takes a lot of work and you do need some funds behind you.
I know you said your job is bad but are you able to increase your shift to 2-3 a week for the short term knowing that your doing it so you can have the money for your own business?
I don't want this to sound blasé but the old saying 'short term pain, long term gain' is a really good one.
Work out how much extra $ you need and how many shifts you'd need to get it and then count them down knowing you'll be out of there soon
I wish I could increase them but I am a casual worker and beg them every week for more shifts but only ever end up with the 1 . I know it take a lot of time and work to start a business and I am prepared to do so its only the very first small product buy I am having trouble funding but that you for you advice :)
Start small, you dont need all the fancy 'busniess' things, websites, names, marketing, fb likes, just start small with your tools to get the ob done and a reAlly good product and it will grow organically.
This way you can feed your profit bavk into it and grow it over time while alao building a really good reputation and client base and tesfimonials and feedback so you can tweak And make it just right for when youre ready and have the funds to expand.
Working from home can take a lot of hours and mindpower, much more than a job and theres no guarantee of a paycheck. But if you love it youll make it work.
Just make sure it's something you really do enjoy and are passionate about, otherwise it becomes really hard work and starts feeling like a chore. I've tried network marketing a couple of times but never got anywhere as it didn't sit right with me and I couldn't in all honesty say that I loved the products. That being said, I know of people who are doing extremely well doing that, but they obviously enjoy it. However, you will need funds to get up and running, whatever you are planning to do. Is there any chance of a short term loan from a family member? Or (providing you're confident you'll be able to get things up and running so you can pay it back), a bank loan or credit card?
