Weight loss

I'm wanting to loss about 10kgs. I exercise regularly, my meals are healthy. It's my snacks and addiction to iced coffee that I'm finding hard to replace.

I need something I can have for morning tea on the drive to work, as I don't get morning tea as I start late. Any ideas?

And needing healthy snack ideas. Any suggestions would be appricated. Thanks in advance

What about making a takeaway coffee at home. That way you control the sugar, fat content etc.
I also used to pack a lunch box of snacks, carrot, celery, capsicum sticks and a small tub of dip.

Tried the snacks on the healthy mummy site? Heaps of free ideas http://www.losebabyweight.com.au/anzac-bliss-balls/?lbwref=113 Anzac Day bliss balls, but if you go to the search option just type in snacks :)

A substitute for the iced coffess could be those diet shake packets, you know the ones you mix with water. I know they dont taste great bit they do come in coffee flavour and they will keep you feeling full for a while.
I like the optifast from the chemist, or a good cheaper alternative are the aldi ones, they are about $1 a packet

I personally wouldn't use any of those. The sugar content is through the roof.

Have a bigger breakfast. Toast, eggs, avocado, baked beans etc good filling foods with low GI. Then by "morning tea" a piece of fruit, one or two protein balls or a handful of nuts is more than enough if you feel it's necessary.

I am a sucker for iced coffee as well, can't go without it in the morning. I make it myself though I don't buy it, I just put a spoonful of coffee, a bit of water to dissolve and then milk and ice and I put it in a shaker to take with me if I don't get time at home. I've also gone and switched to almond or coconut milk instead of cows milk. It took a little while to get used to the taste but now I actually prefer it and it is so much healthier. I had to try different brands on the milks as well as some of them are terrible, I find the sanitarium so good to be the best tasting.

Snacks are my weakness as well but I've found some really nice easy mixes to make at home for protein balls, muffins, nut bars etc. they are really easy to make and healthy. You just need to watch the sugar content. I am not a fruit person at all so I find these really tasty. The best alternative I have found to chocolate! It's a brand called loving earth and I get the salted caramel flavor. Not sure where you live but I've only been able to find it in one IGA store in Perth so far but you can get it online.
Also try the 'I quit sugar mixes' which you can get in coles in the health food section, they have protein balls and museli bars.

goingcoconuts.com.au have bake mixes you can buy online. I got the donut mix and it was amazing! I didn't have a donut mould tray so I made them into cupcakes.

Consider swapping!! For every other coffee swap to a water drink. Watch your sugar intake as this is a substance stored in the body as fat rather than moved on through. So many foods have natural sugar in them and you should be aware of this. Swapping a chocolate for an apple isgood but be aware apple contain natural sugars but is very good because the fibre stops you frombeing hungry for longer. Eat smart and eat heathy and those last kgs will fall away.
