Fear approaching second birth

Hi lovely people,

This is probably silly i don't know if im looking for advice or comfort.

Im due to give birth to baby number 2 soon and im petrified. They have given me an induction date which is 10 days after I'm due because i went just as late with the first. (3 year difference)

I know birth is meant to be painful but my first was absolutely brutal. I virtually had to be induced three times as my body wouldnt start contractions. It was just really intense and I'd love to not have to do it that way again if possible.

I'm hoping to hear from other mums that were induced first time around and went into labour on their own second time around and any tips to help bring it on when it gets a bit closer? (Even though i know they probably won't work)

Thanks for your time from a mum who is probably overthinking it way too much.

I had to be induced the first two times and went into labour naturally on the third.

The thing was I actually slowed the labour with my second. And yep it was fear. I could still remember her head from the first time. Mate was I sucking on that gas so much so I was having hallucinations with my second that they were telling me it's ok its ok I didnt have to go into labour they had found a BIG yellow chicken to do it all for me....the beanbag I was supporting myself on of course.

I actually delayed the labour by 4 hours by waving my bum around up in the air and dropping my front lower. Bubs was fighting an uphill battle. But the moment the midwife shoved that bean bag under my front to lift me...HELLO! The head engaged and she arrived.

The only thought I had was YOU LYING BASTARDS!

I was induced for my first too and it was brutal also !!! I still feel all kinds of yuk feelings when I think about it :( BUT my 2nd and 3rd although late were all natural ! And my birth experience for both were amazing !!
To help bring them on I'm not entirely sure what helped but I did a number of things : an aromatherapy massage ( to help me relax ), acupressure (look up videos on YouTube you can see where the pressure points are do it several times a day !) , walk walk walk some more , do what ever helps you relax !! The more relaxed your body is the more likely you are to go into labour naturally ! Also talk to a homeopath there are remedies you can take to help you body prepare for labour and even induce labour ! Good luck mummy you totally have got this !! Your body was beautifully designed to birth your baby ! Trust your body !

I was induced via syntosin drip at 38+2 due to waters breaking and not contracting. Having the drip restricted my movement and everything was so intense and fast (4.5 hours from first contraction to baby).

I was scared of it happening the second time however at 39 weeks I was given a S&S which got things moving without the need for induction. Labour was only 3.5 hours but I found it particularly painful as my waters had not broken. They only broke when I started pushing. Having a bulging bag of waters and trying to push them plus baby out is almost comparable to being induced!

I'm now 28 weeks with my third pregnancy. However this time it's twins so I'm being induced. This time they're breaking my waters as the first port of the induction processs. Hopefully that's enough to get everything moving.

I didn't have a hard labour or birth for either of my pregnancies, and this might be a little TMI but around the 38 week mark I was rather over it and tried to naturally induce. It worked though! We had sex on the couch where my legs were over his shoulders and afterwards I stimulated my nipples with an electric breast pump. Hours later my labour started and I was in full labour for 2 hours.
