Been preparing for this court case since May 2014
Got through the local magistrates court got the final IVO which doesn't have many months left on it now and barely through the first stages of the family court application to have the court orders changed.
The first mentions I found out what a dog's breakfast my lawyer made of the application. But this is important even though I know I can pretty confidently self represent I wanted to know this was handled and that it wouldn't all fall apart if my health caved (which it has).
I was hung up on by over a dozen law firms and it took my social worker digging one up to have one let me finish explaining the case. However the paperwork was basically torn up and a new application made in under a week because it was an absolute dogs breakfast but the mention wasn't a complete waste of time, I did get leave from the court to serve him by email, which is good because at this point even police can't find a man who is a registered child sex offender.
In exactly one week I am back in court. This coming one will likely be a mention not a full hearing. But I will be a big one it will tell me how much work I have ahead of me.
At this point I havent even received the response yet. Only a week to go and he hasn't filed it.
He was given a 2 week adjournment in order to apply for legal aid and file a response.
Please pray he doesn't qualify for legal aid.
He is no longer even paying the $50 child support a fortnight out of newstart which tells me he is working again and I got the distinct impression that there will only be a response if he isn't the one paying to challenge my case.
