Hiya mums so my son has glasses and has done since he was 4 months old and people often stare and say it looks cute and he looks like a doll etc . But now he is also walking with a cane and I thought children would stop and stare and make comments but it's not it's the parents !!
A women even stopped me at the transport department and said he is to little for it and proceeded to tell me that my son is to small and I should let him explore the world with his hands . And that I should re evaluate my parenting options ?
I'm at a loss here I don't want people to say stuff like that around him but how do I stop it ? I'm at a complete loss . I'm already heart broken myself that he has to use it . But he loves it I'm not really sure what I'm asking I just hope when you all Read this you may think about what you say and do especially to strangers with children with disabilitys

Holy F&@k I'm sorry you are going through that!
I had someone ask if my son was autistic because I didn't spend time with him as a baby!
Adults are soooo very stupid some times. Or maybe I should enrol my son in music/diet/naturopath/chiropractor to cure him.
Omg - these people obviously don't have very high IQ's. Say "unless you are telling me how fabulous you think my son is I don't want to hear your opinion" and then walk away. Idiots.
