Talk to your Doctor. They tend to give people with HSV an anti viral before they go into labour because they want to protect the baby from being infected by a breakout during labour.
So talk to your doctor about your fears because you may not even have a breakout or it might be much less severe because you have been treated in preparation for a breakout.

I have hsv2 and have had 2 kids naturally since being diagnosed. They should give you acyclovir at 36 weeks to suppress any chance of outbreak (if they dont offer it ask for it) , i didnt have any outbreak afterwards either time , but i also dont get big outbreaks , only 1-3 lesions at any time!

I too have HSV 2 and I have a perfectly healthy 17mth old daughter, I had 3-4 outbreaks during my pregnancy the last at 37weeks pregnant. I took lysine and they were going to put me on antiviral medication but I choose not too. I was checked and I also didn't feel like I was going to have an outbreak at time of labour, I had her naturally and she is healthy. But I would speak to your doctor or midwife, they deal with this all the time so don't feel embarrassed. I wish you all the best

I too have hsv 2 and had to have 3 c-sections because of it.
The doctor should tell you that it's not good to give natural birth if you have a outbreak as it can harm your baby maybe it could be your option
