Hi. So, I did an early detection hpt (first response) on Tuesday night that came up with a faint PINK line (I'm only 8dpo today). This morning I did a ClearBlue +/- test and again got a faint positive. I had a digital one at home so I did that, it come up with a big fat 'NOT PREGNANT' so I did the last CB test I had and that also came up negative... My question is, has anyone had this happen to them and what was the end result? TIA

Hey hun, different tests use different parameters, so one test may register from 25 but another from 50 or 75 etc.
It's very rare to get a false positive, unless you are on any medications for fertility or health that can affect tests?
Are you sure the first two lines weren't just evap lines?
Test first thing in the morning!!!
I tested in the morning and it came up positive then I went to the doctors that afternoon came up negative. Did a blood test came up positive.
The hormone that home tests pick up is at its strongest with your first pee in the morning... Throughout the day it is diluted. You could wait a few more days and check again or go to the doctor and ask for a "blood test" to be done. ?
I'm certain the first two lines weren't evap lines as they came up straight away. I could be wrong, but they're so the same colour and width as the 'control' line which also makes me think it's not evap.
I'm not on any fertility drugs, I did a digital test again today and it came up with 'YES+' but has a clock next to it... I'm just really confused!
Thank you for your replies. I really appreciate it ?
Don't be confused - you're likely pregnant, it's just way too early to get a consistent response on the test! The best thing you can do is wait until 14dpo and THEN test away to your hearts content.... And go see a doctor for a blood test to confirm it :-)
I'd say you are pregnant. Congratulations if you are :) best to book an ultrasound to confirm.
Ok! So I thought I'd update.
I am now officially a week late. 2 days before my period was due, I had about 5 (tiny) spots of blood. Went to the doctor (not my usual gp) who told me 'that was probably your period' WTF??? I've had my period for 20 odd years and usually it's like a massacre (sorry! TMI). So I did a few more home tests that again, showed faint positives but I demanded a blood test from the doctor which I will do today.
When I think about it, I was 6w3d pregnant with my daughter when it started showing strong positives so I'm praying that's what it is this time too and not my body just being cruel!
