Proud mum moment

Not a question but wanted to share a proud mummy moment.
Money has been a bit tight lately as we are saving for a family holiday at Easter time. Today the school was having a Easter treat day $9 per child , includes a wrap , milk popper, egg, hot cross bun , I have three kids so I just couldn't justify spending $27. I felt bad but my kids assured me that it was ok and they understood was to expensive for me ( kids ages Are 6, 8 and 11) I was proud of there maturity . I wanted to still treat them so I went to the shop and got them a milk & chocolate egg and made them a wrap with the stuff we had at home, so for the milk poppers and eggs I had to buy was less than $10 for three children
They were pleased with that and didn't faze them wasn't the treats from the school
It's moments like this u get proud how ur children handle situations like this. And it's nice they were greatful anyways .
Hope u all have a wonderful Easter break

Amazing. My sister and I were just discussing this the other day. She is concerned her kids don't get it, and why would they get it, they have expensive holidays etc. she is really worried that she is setting them up for failure in adulthood because they are fricking clueless. It's there normal to go overseas, eat out regularly, play lots of sports etc.
She knows the chances that her kids will have incomes that allow them to live that lifestyle in adulthood aren't high, and that they won't cope.
So they've decided to tighten the purse strings and give her kids the chance to learn that you can't have everything even if you work hard.
