Budgeting as single parent, help please.

Hi Ladies,
I may very well find myself as a single mother of two small children soon (1 and 5 months).
I'm scared but it's best for our health and happiness.
How do other mum's get by on single parenting payment? Would you mind giving me a budget breakdown?
It will be tight but I'll get full time work as soon as my youngest is a few months older. I'll be earning between 50k & 60k... Are there any mums out there on this money who could also give me a budget breakdown.
I'm sure I'll find my way. I'm just feeling a little daunted by it all and some guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Much love sisters! Xx

In in spp with 3 kids 2,7,9
This budget is Per Fortnight
$500 rent used to be $640
$100 electricity
$60 fuel
$115 insurance/phone/internet
$15 mobile credit
$300 food/nappies
$130 Childcare
And the rest goes to anything else that is needed. Rego/dentists/car services/extra fuel/sports and activity fees.

Good luck it is doable

A lot depends on your rent and priorities. What area will you be living in? Rent in Sydney for example will be much higher than Adelaide.

But think about how/big small your accomodation will need to be. People have unrealistically high expectations of size these days, where as our grandparents raised many children in 2 bedroom houses. My son and I made do in a one bedroom unit for a number of years, when I say made do, I mean we loved it lol

I spend about 100 a week on food but that's for 2 adults (as he is grown now).
20 a week on fuel
140 on car rego for 3 months
200-250 a quarter on electricity but we are home a lot with TV running, we spend about the same on gas.
Our phone is ridiculously expensive and unnecessary at $75per month but that includes Internet. I could have gotten a plan way cheaper but I had a stupid moment.

Pay in order of importance; rent, then groceries, baby things, kids things, petrol, phone or bills, debt, what's left is for you or kids activities etc.
I have a credit card so I pay swimming lessons or rego etc on that and that's where my debt payment pays it off again over next few fortnights.
