Rub some baby oil and using either a playing card or plastic headlice comb to remove it. Personally I prefer the comb

Have you tried baby oil soaked in? I let it sit for 5 mins in the bath then gently comb it up. It all slides out. Then shampoo the oil out. My daughter gets it sometimes if I haven't been washing her hair enough.

My 1 yr old had it bad. Never had it before. I tried all the usual things and it didn't work.

My hair dresser suggested soaking her hair in olive oil for 10 mins then showering and washing with a good firm scrub with the flannel. Get out and towel dry hair then scrub loose bits off with a dry flannel, back in shower to wash hair again to wash out the scaly bits.
Do this everyday for a week.

It worked for us! Not sure if you've tried this but might be worth a go.

They say not to leave the olive oil in for more than 15mins due to kids sensitive scalps

My 2 year old gets it bad so once a week I massage olive oil into his hair and comb it through. It gets rid of 95% of it and the rest comes out with the next treatment

Not sure if it's right or not but my doctor told me I have seborrheic dermatitis which is supposed to be like the adult version. After numerous expensive treatments which did SFA I finally found relief - apple cider vinegar.

I'd be having a quick chat the doc to make sure it's not psoriasis or eczema before getting to aggressive with treatment
