Hello imperfect mums.
I am trying to figur out wether I can afford to live with my partner. I am solely reliant on single perant payment and tax a and b. I pay all my bills and rent and live from pay to pay. My partner lives with his mate and pays all his bills. We are looking at getting a place together once my lease is up end of May. I know my payment will be cut and he is ok with supporting my 2 kids and myself. I am trying to sort out budgets. He roughly gets 60k a year. I get no child support for ether of my kids. What I want to know is would I get any payment from Centrelink. I'm not sure if it matters but I'm in wa. Any advice would be wonderful.
Can I afford to live with my partner??

Go to the Centrelink website, there is a calculator, plug in what his income is, how many kids etc and that will give you the answer.
I used to live on $38000.00 a year whilst in a relationship. If you can get a budget all set up you should be able to live on 60k no problems.
Depending on where you live, I suppose. In Sydney, outer west my rent is 21,000 per year.
Yes you'll still get family assistance. Difference is, if you underestimate his income, you'll end up paying money back and you also won't get the tax refunds at the end of the year if you've overestimated, too. So make sure you always over estimate his wage a bit. At least 5K to be safe.
