What to pack for the hospital?!

Hi all!
In 35 weeks pregnant with my first baby and i have an idea of what to pack for the hospital but am getting told so many different things!
I was wondering what you beautiful mums would recommend taking or what you forgot to take and wish you had!
Hopefully it will be more helpful then what I've already been told!

Thankyou in advance!

Other than normal stuff (clothes for you and bub, toiletries, nappies, blankets) phone charger, books mags and a usb internet stick if your taking a laptop :-)

For me it was a book or magazine that I forgot with my first, even a laptop or tablet with movies or shows on it and games. I never realised how boring the hospital tv was until I was in there for 3 days up with a baby. And maybe even snacks that are sealed closed individually that u can get out in the middle of the night, I was starving while breast feeding especially the first couple of weeks

Of corse all the usual things, clothes, blankets, thongs or slippers, toiletries (unscented soap), nappies/wipes, and dark tops or dressing gown so u dont have to wear a bra when your milk is coming through. Take something comfy like track suit pants or a loose dress for when you come home. Don't worry about baby bath just take washers that's all they need.

I had everything organised with my first down to each jumpsuit having a blanket, nappy and singlet in clip seal bags. It was so much easier that way while I was still new to it all. The midwives complimented me on my organisational skills, if only they could see me now haha. But u don't have to go that far.

I'm not keen on plastic cups for tea and I have a specific brand of teabags I like. I packed my favourite mug and a bunch of tea bags - best cup of tea of my life was the one I had after labour and a shower :)
I took maternity pads, breast pads, clean clothes, wash bag, baby clothes, nappies and blankets, phone charger. I didn't use any of the entertainment I took with me - I was too busy staring at the baby or sleeping for all the time I was in!

I didn't like hospital food much so I kind of wished I'd packed more snack foods like crackers and fruit.

Best wishes :) x

Pack extra knickers! Seriously I went through about 10 pairs in 3 days!
Make sure your phone is charged befofe you go in, mine was nearly flat and I had to go to icu after I delivered and couldn't charge my phone to ring anyone.
Pack a couple outfits for bub and make sure all your clothes are button up and short sleeves (easier if you have drips in). Pack breast pads and maternity pads. Lansinoh for sore nipples.
Slippers for around the ward. Some snacks. Deodorant, shampoo, conditioner and soap. Also make up if you feel up to it. I looked crap in all our first family photos haha

I wish i had packed a mag and some snacks.. the first time around i packed heaps.. and with the 2 i was packing while in labour.. silly i know but had 10 days to due date... and was going to pack that day... if ur going to take snacks please be mindful of what u pack as the lady next to me packed chips and she kept creakling the bag at 1am to 3am and i was awake the hole night with her... while my bub was asleep.. good luck

Definitely take lansinoh nipple cream. You don't want to be caught out like I was in the middle of the night when the chemist is closed with a screaming, hungry baby and raw nipples from her having attachment issues!

Adult nappies... My flow was heavey before hand, just as bad after. Beats thinking I need to change or I leaked ECT. So much more comfortable n your able to move without thinking.
