Fundraising ideas?? Help!

Dear Sisterhood,
What are some fundraising ideas you can share? How is best to raise awareness about our fundraising campaign? Our fundraiser is for our child with a disability. We have a genuine cause with a clear fundraising goal. We have outlined exactly what would be achieved from the fundraiser and the benefits it will bring to our child. The catch is I'm not very social as I have ASD which makes the normal suggestions such as trivia nights too difficult for me. I just wouldn't be able to cope as an attendee led alone as an organiser and don't have other people who could fill that role. I've contacted some local media who haven't replied. Also corporates without success. The corporate businesses have been lovely, but replied saying they already have committed to larger charity organisations and cannot help with individual causes. What we have done already is set up a public Facebook group to tell our story, share updates and raise awareness. We have a go fund me and I have contacted our local lions club to ask for their help to fundraise who I'm still waiting to hear back from at this stage. I have printed some A5 flyers and was thinking of doing a Cadbury fundraiser, but beyond that I'm not sure. Please share your ideas!!! It would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Fellow ASD mum here.

Contact local smaller businesses and ask for donations to do an online Facebook auction. Be very clear in your Facebook page and when approaching business what exactly you are raising the money for eg therapy/house modifications etc. It's better to raise smaller amounts and reach your goal for a specific item than to set a large goal because people get annoyed with that and get turned off. I know when someone says we need to raise $1000 for x/y/z then I'm more likely to donate for someone who says I need $10000 for something vague.

Make sure when you raise money there isn't already another funding source. Donors these days are really savvy so get annoyed when people fundraise for an 'iPad' when you could apply for funding through variety etc.
When you fundraise be clear how much the item costs and how much of it you plan to cover yourself.
These little things make all the difference because the fundraising market is extremely tight. People tend to donate to people they know.

I also try and provide evidence that x/y/z will help my child and not some fly by night fad treatment.

Yes we are fundraising for a clear, specific goal of an assistance dog. Funds raised will go to purchasing, training and accessing the dog to get the accreditation. A Facebook auction is a great idea. Thank you for your suggestion.

Sorry, I know that probably included a bunch of extra stuff, but thought it worth sharing as seen some friends make those mistakes and not get anywhere.
