Mirena Removal and TTC

Hi ladies!
I have a question for those of you who have had a mirena removed.
I had mine place 2 years ago after the birth of my first child...my partner and I have decided recently that we would like to add to our family.
Whilst I had my mirena in I had no dramas slight monthly spotting..since having it removed my period has been very inconsistent making it hard to track my ovulation, one month its 28 days and then 20 etc.
Since removal I've aslo noticed just how 'dry' I've been especially during sex..
Sorry TMI but it's not like I'm not aroused it doesn't matter what I do it doesn't help. I've tried lube which makes it comfortable for me but my partner doesn't like it.
I'm beginning to wonder if this is common after having it removed ? Has anyone else experienced this?
Also how long did it take for you to conceive after having the mirena removed?
The ovulation tests I've been using have shown that I am having a LH surge but it lasted for 5 days which I thought was strange.
I would love to hear your experiences please.

I currently have one in and have heard that, as with insertion , after removal you can experience a range of symptoms and have messed up cycles for up to 6 months, your body needs to re-adjust to regulating everything itself, instead of relying on the hormonal help. I personally would check with, where you had it inserted, good luck adding to your family :)

I had one for two years. Had it removed 2.5 yrs ago to ttc, fell pregnant after 6 months. Bub had severe birth defect and we terminated as she would never have survived. Periods were never regular after removal of mirena, even after falling pregnant so I went on the pill for 12 months til I was ready to try again. since then I have since had a m/c and now have high level abnormal cell changes on my cervix. If anyone tells me they are getting a mirena, I always tell them to be wary. The side effects after removal are not very well documented, but they are there. FYI before the mirena, I had two perfect pregnancies, no miscarriages, no abnormal Pap smears. I don't believe it to be a coincidence
