Getting pregnany with IVF

I have just found out that I will most likely need IVF due to my remaining tube being almost blocked (other one removed due to an ectopic). My doctor is giving me a few months before going to IVF. He thinks my chances of IVF are good as I am 30yo.
Has anyone else had experience with IVF when they are 30? Has anyone had success on the first cycle? How much roughly did it end up costing you?
