Hi ladies!
My partner and I have been thinking about having kids later this year. I've been on the pill since I was 15 and I'm now 22.
I'm worried that being on the pill for so long that I'm going to have complications and set backs while trying.
I guess my question is, what are your thoughts and has anyone been in a similar situation and how'd it all work out for you and your partner?

I was on the pill for probably around the same amount of time, went off 3 months in advance and fell pregnant straight away! It all depends on the person.
It can vary. My mum fell pregnant within 2 weeks! But No matter what contraception you've been on I'd allow yourself a year to fall pregnant before you start worrying. Putting stress and expecting to fall pregnant within a few months just makes it a negative/stressful experience versus something that should be fun and exciting. Making that mental adjustment of giving your body time can make all the difference.
I was on the pill for about 9 years and fell pregnant the first month I got off! I've been informed that when you go off the pill you become more fertile in the first few months you are off them.
Either way I haven't noticed any issues with fertility from being on the pill. Best of luck!
It took me 1 cycle to fall pregnant after stopping the pill. I had been on it since i was 15 on and off and fell pregnant with my second at 22 (first was a pill baby)
7.5 years on the pill, 2 weeks to get pregnant. Different for everyone
I was on the pill for 10 years and fell pregnant as soon as I stopped taking it.
I was on the pill for about 6 years. Stopped the pill in Oct and we're up to month 5 of ttc. I'm 22 as well.
