Just wondering how long you let your baby jump in the jolly jumper for?
Our son loves it so much he'll sook if we take him out and he'll jump till he starts to fall asleep which makes me feel bad. Also do you stay in the room at ALL times when bub is jumping?
I do but his dad thinks its ok to be in the next room, As long as you check often and can hear him. What does everyone else do?

My little one loves it too! I tend to limit to half an hour at a time but will allow him a go in the morning and in the afternoon if we are having a bit of a slow day. I don't think I'd let him go in any longer than that but I do let him jump on my tummy a bit in between as well. He's usually a little bit put out when playtime in the jumper is over but I try to follow it up with a new game for the week so he has a bit of a distraction (balloons are proving very effective)
Being in the same room - I have ducked through to use the toilet or grab a drink but generally I prefer to make sure I'm watching him all the time. Usually I take everything I think I'll need like phone, drink, etc with me so I can be right next to him while he plays. Usually I like to try and be part of his playtime in the jumper anyway and add to his fun. I'm fairly confident nothing would happen in my absence (otherwise I wouldn't let him use it at all) and I'm sure that will be your hubby's point of view but I stay with him for my own peace of mind and I make my husband do the same because my argument is it's easy to lose track of time if you are just watching something on TV or just sending a quick email or just running through the dishes.... whatever the reason for leaving the room is.
I have a feeling a jolly jumper would be on a par with a 'crotch dangling' carrier, ie. not a great set up for hips. I think I would limit to say 10-15 minutes in the morning and perhaps a bit longer in the evening to get dinner made or something like that.
I would day 30 minutes at a time maybe 2-3 times a day. We had a jump a too, so my bub would jump but stop n play with toys n then jump again.
I have same rules for walker, jump a too, activities table where they sit in middle of it n spin to play with toys.
all are supposed to be bad for hips and if left in for hours ECT daily bad for encouraging walking, especially walkers.
I don't leave them either n if I need to change rooms tend to move bub too.
