Sticky out ears

I'm after anyone's advice/experience in correcting ears that stick out on a baby.
It has become apparent that my 3mth old has inherited my protruding ears and although I think she is still gorgeous, I know only too well how cruel society can be. If I can save her from years of torment and name calling I will!
I have been researching non invasive ways to correct them as the cartilage is very pliable in a baby and have found the taping method. Has anyone had any experience with this or other non invasive methods? If so were you happy with the results/how long did you use treatment for?
