It depends on your income and what your expenses are. Honestly I can not afford to have a second child.

Probably wait until you're in a better financial position to be able to.... Sometimes that means working to remove debt, or selling (if you own) and moving to cheaper suburb... the same if you're renting. Moving to a house with cheaper rent. And they are SO much more expensive as they get older. So if you can't afford a baby/toddler, times that by 3 or 4 and that's what a teenager will cost you. They eat way more, grow faster, extra curricular, school expenses. Never ends.

It depends on your income and what you are expecting to be able to give the child. Your desire to work or need for childcare, family support etc. That said I have always been a firm believer that if you want another child you will juggle and find the way to make it happen. Look at your budget, family support, what additional help you can get through family benefits etc, we found with the additional FBT and higher level of CCB we got for childcare we weren't that much extra out of pocket and for 3 would ironically have had more in our pocket (kinda bizzare).
The hardest financial jump is the first.
