Drowning in debts

Drowning in debts

Hi mummas,
I'm in quite a predicament. I left my kids father at the beginning of the year after years of conflict, financial and emotional abuse. While he worked full time and I worked casually, he used to get angry if I didn't have enough money to pay bills, groceries or put fuel in my car. He paid the rent. I ended up with 10k in credit card debt as I ended up too scared to ask for the money. Also, he wanted me to sell the car I owned to get something newer. I did, and I struggled to get the loan and he refused to help. I got the loan, and now also have a 24k car loan. I'm still working, getting some child support and government benefits but im drowning in debt. I almost lost my rental property due to not being able to pay. I don't know what to do, and it hurts so much to see my ex sitting pretty financially while I pick up the pieces. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks x

Look for a financial counsellor. They don't sell products and they don't 'sell' loans etc. they help you come up with a plan. They can help you negotiate a freeze on the interest on your credit card, and negotiate affordable payment plans etc.
